Jagex Unveils Brawler Class for Transformers Universe

After starting off with nothing but teaser trailers when the game was first announced a few months back, Jagex has been quite generous on revealing details about the upcoming Transformers Universe. Next in line to be unveiled at Gamescom is the Brawler character class. Read on for the official press release below.

“Jagex Games Studio, one of the largest independent games developers and publishers in the world, and makers of the upcoming TRANSFORMERS UNIVERSE browser based MMO for the Western World markets, today released some exclusive details of the title at the Gamescon event in Cologne.

The Jagex team are on hand at the convention to speak to gamers and TRANSFORMERS fans alike about the new MMO slated for release in 2012 and, for the first time to a European audience, the customisation that will be available to players of the new MMO in 2012 will be demonstrated on the fully interactive booth. The booth allows visitors to choose their allegiance to either the AUTOBOT or DECEPTICON factions and customise their choice.

Gamescom visitors will then receive a print out of the unique TRANSFORMERS character they have created. When the game launches next year, players will be able to choose from various classes of robots, adding a further variant to the character creation element; already highly anticipated by fans and gamers alike.

While the customisation presented at the convention will offer fans a taste of what is to come within the game, Jagex today exclusively revealed details of one of the much anticipated classes; The Brawler Class.

“Players who like to engage as the tank in co-op team play will be drawn to this Brawler Class. The strength and resilience of this class makes it the perfect choice for those who like to get up close in a battle environment, for those who like a good brawl.” Stated Kris Jones, TRANSFORMERS UNIVERSE senior producer.
